420 Peanut Butter Fudge Story
Hello Everyione!
Thanks for stopping by today to talk about my infused version of
peanut butter fudge. I was introduced to peanut butter fudge at the
county fair when I was a kid. Every year, a church group would sell
individually wrapped pieces of fudge in the art hall at the county fair.
The art hall was between the two 4-H buildings where I had my
projects. Needless to say, I spent a lot of money on peanut butter
fudge the week of the county fair.
My mom and I spent a considerable amount of time trying to
replicate the recipe…extra creamy, but doesn’t melt into a puddle
after being unrefrigerated for a few minutes. We never got the
consistency perfected, but the taste was there. Unfortunately, the
recipe we ended up with was a traditional fudge, meaning a long boil
of the sugar. Definitely something to avoid with any cannabis
infusion.
By using confectioners’ (powdered) sugar, you don’t need to boil at
all, just mix into the melted butter and peanut butter. The
consistency of this fudge is very soft and smooth since the
restructured sugar crystals won’t be present, but again, the taste is
great.
