Marijuana Marinated Olive Story

Hello Everyone!

Thanks for stopping by today to talk about marijuana marinated olives. This is a no cook recipe that is perfect for snacking as is. I usually make a double batch using a variety of olives such as black, Kalamata, Nicoise and Castelvetrano. I sometimes make the recipe with parmesan cheese, again it depends on what’s in my fridge. Heck, if you love cheddar, and you have it in the fridge, cube that up.  Or, you can omit the cheese all together.  Just make sure the olives are pitted (purchased that way or done by hand) before mixing everything. No broken teeth needed here.

You can serve the olives and mozzarella with a generous amount of olive oil on some ciabatta bread. Run under the broiler for a couple of minutes to get the bread toasty and the cheese melty.   The olive and mozzarella mixture also makes the best pizza topping. To me, the pizza will need a lot more cheese than is in the basic recipe, but then again cheese is its own food group in my house.

After you have enjoyed the olives, use the remaining infused olive (double infused at this point with cannabis and all the herbs and spices) as part of a salad dressing or drizzled over a bowl of soup or as the olive oil spread onto crostini before baking…you get the idea. Don’t waste the remining oil.  The olives themselves won’t soak it all up.

In this recipe I used a space queen infused olive oil, that dispensary tested at 26.96 percent THC.   If you try the recipe, let me know in the comments how you liked it.

1 jar (approximately 15 oz) drained olives (or a mix of whatever is in your fridge)

¼ lb mozzarella pearls

1/3 c infused olive oil

1T red wine vinegar

¼ t red pepper flakes

Zest and juice of one lemon

2 t thyme leaves, chopped

2 t rosemary leaves, chopped

2 T minced parsley

Place olives and mozzarella pearls in large non-reactive bowl (such as glass).  In a smaller bowl, mix olive oil, vinegar, pepper flakes, lemon juice and zest, thyme, rosemary, parsley and garlic.  Mix to combine.  Pour over olives and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 24 hours before enjoying!

As with all cannabis infused food start with small portions until you learn your tolerance level. Keep out of reach of children and pets.

Culinarily Yours in Cannabis,
