Blazed BLAT Story
Hello Every One!
Thanks for stopping by today to talk about one of the simplest recipes I think I may have published. I’m
talking about the Summertime classic BLAT (that’s a Bacon, Lettuce and Tomato with the addition of
avocado. I also usually add some thinly sliced onion, only because I make almost nothing without onion
and or garlic. If you’re a regular visitor, you probably have already figured this out for yourself. If you’re
not an onion fan, feel free to omit it.
I have used two infusions in this recipe – the bacon itself and the mayonnaise. The bacon couldn’t be
easier…just lay out about 8 strips of bacon strips on a parchment paper lined sheet tray. Sprinkle with 1-
2 grams of decarbed cannabis (divided). Bake for a few minutes, flip the bacon sƟrps over and sprinkle
other side with the remaining cannabis. Extra added bonus, you now have infused bacon fat to use in
other recipes. I’m going to use mine as part of the fat in some cornbread! I have previously posted my
infused mayonnaise recipe on this blog.
For me, a big portion of this sandwich is choosing the right bread. You have elevated the bacon and the
mayonnaise, so use a good loaf. I like a well toasted country loaf that I slice thickly myself. Don’t get me
wrong, I have definitely made this just using white, tasteless grocery store bread, but spend a few extra
pennies and get something that actually has some flavor.
I used a blueberry muffin strain for the bacon. I just love the fruity aroma of this strain. Who doesn’t
love crispy bacon and a blueberry muffin for breakfast or any meal of the day for that matter!

Blazed BLAT Recipe
8 strips thick cut bacon
1-2 grams decarbed cannabis, divided
4 T infused mayonnaise, divided
4 slices toasted country bread
4 slices tomato
2 leaves lettuce (I used green leaf)
1 avocado, sliced, divided
Thinly sliced onion (opƟonal)
Salt and pepper to taste
Preheat oven to 325F. Line baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
Lay bacon strips on prepared tray. Sprinkle with half of the cannabis. Bake for 10 minutes. Flip bacon
strips, sprinkle with remaining cannabis and bake for an addiƟonal 10-15 minutes or unƟl desired
crispy-ness is achieved.
About 5 minutes before the bacon is done, add sliced bread to another baking sheet and pop in the
same oven as the bacon to toast while the bacon finishes cooking. Flip bread over halfway through
baking to ensure even toasƟng.
Spread each slice of bread with 1 T infused mayonnaise. Place half of each ingredient on each sandwich.
Salt and pepper the avocado and tomato, if desired. The bacon is salty in itself, so not much salt is needed. As always with Cannabis infused food start with small portions till you learn your tolerance level. Keep out of reach of Children and pets.

Culinarily Yours in Cannabis,

Mary Ann
