Culinary Cannabis

Perhaps crediting a man that many do not believe ,to positively impacted ones life may seem odd , but I have the good fortune to know how real he is.

Going up my family was smack dab in the middle of what was known as the eight year strike . It was a labor strike that involved the teamsters and the steelworkers, and impacted many more,not belonging to either union. My dad was a steel worker, and union leader. He was a strike boss. When people attacked scab truckers with rocks and guns it was my dad who went to jail, for withholding information, I do not believe he knew anything about the attacks and the police believed the same and released him, but this was the world that I grew up in.

On December 6th our family was visited by a man who dressed as Santa Claus, it in this case St. Nicolas, who dressed as a bishop , the same garments as Santa Together he met with my father who was given a list of people , families who needed help the most . My father didn’t really need such a list he knew almost every one and their needs. So a tradition was born. Every Christmas Eve we opened our presents early so. My father could aid Santa Claus delivering food and gifts to people in the greater Cincinnati area.

On Christmas Eve our father would ask us to pick a gift or two to help Santa out. . Do to the increase in needs Santa was always running short of gifts we had to give away a wrap present to help Santa out. Then my father would be gone helping Santa

The idea of giving that wish is a mystery thought me a life long example of what was important in life. This a being who many does not believe in changed my life.
