Over a century my great uncle

George got a gift. From one of his uncles, they had gone down to Florida and on their way back they bought a baby pecan tree from Georgia , being quite a bit north of Georgia the tree shouldn’t have made it past the first winter but because of his diligent care it did and it grew, some where while growing up he started with his grandparents parents uncles aunts,cousins and sibs he aided names to his tree making it the family tree over the years the tree branches out with family members eventually he added a small plack that read Their is always room for one more nut in our family tree.

His brother’s machined a special pie pan.to make a pie 3ftt in diameter the size of his wood burning stove. Eventually his brothers made a second pan .

I have had many pecan pie in my life but none as good as the pie made from the nuts in our family tree
