Thanks for stopping by today to spend some Ɵme! Today’s recipe is for all the wake and bake enthusiasts
out there. And what could be more cliché than an old hippie making granola?
This recipe is just a loose framework for any mix of grains, fruits and nuts you enjoy. I have also made
the syrup with maple syrup instead of honey. If you’re feeling really decadent, throw some chocolate
chips on the warm from the oven granola so they get slightly melty.
Of course, you can have the granola in a bowl with milk. I also like it as a topping for yogurt or ice cream.
You can throw it into pancake batter or just eat out of hand as a snack.
This recipe makes a big batch of granola, making it perfect for giŌing to all your like-minded friends and
family members. You should be able to get 4-quart sized containers. I use canning jars with a holiday-
appropriate ribbon tied on for gifting.

Grass-y Granola
Granola:
4 cups quick-cook rolled oats
1 c quick cook barley
½ c hemp seed hearts
½ c raw, chopped almonds
½ c chopped pecans
¼ c chia seeds
¼ c flax seeds
2 cups (total) mixed dried fruit such as cherries, apricots, raisins, mango, coconut
Spiced syrup:
1 c honey
1 c cannabutter
¼ c brown sugar
1 t cinnamon
½ t cardamom
½ t salt
1 T orange zest
1 t vanilla extract
Preheat oven to 275 F. Line one or two (depending on size) rimmed sheet pans and set aside.
Place all granola ingredients except for dried fruit in large bowl.
In small saucepan, combine all syrup ingredients except vanilla extract. Heat just until sugar is dissolved,
and buƩer is melted. Pour syrup over granola ingredients and mix thoroughly, ensuring all ingredients
are coated in the syrup.
Place mixture on prepared sheet pans and place in preheated oven. Total bake time is approximately 60
minutes, but you will need to sƟr every 15 minutes or so.
The granola will continue to crisp while it cools, so don’t take the baking too far. Cool completely on pans then transfer 5o a air tight container for storage. As always start with a small serving till you know your tolerance for infusion, Keep out of reach from Children and pets
