Tell us about a time when you felt out of place.
It would be easier to pick a time when I did not feel out of place but. There was a moment the greatest moment in baseball history. I grew up in the suburbs of Cincinnati Ohio and although I saw many amazing moments in base ball history this is not about professional base ball, but intermediate grade school base ball .
It was the bottom of the ninth and we were down 7 to four and we had bases loaded two out and I was coming to bat I was slow , I was in able to catch and I had not got a hit at any bat. Some one on the other side yelled easy out and the rest of the team joined in as a chant. outfield came infield ,and sat down as did the infield it became a two people game , the pitcher and me.
I came to bat shaken and wishing our coach would have pulled me but there was no one else to put in. So I took my place at the place the picture hurled the ball towards me I swung with all my might all hit was air I swung so hard I fell. Strike one it was followed by three fouls and three balls . I looked at the coach please get me out of this. He did not.
The picture yelled this is it it’s all over . He hurled the ball and again I swung with all my might ,but this time I connected I connected hard the ball kept rising as the outfield got up to chase the ball it flew over the fence and I look off at first running with all my might.
Then I slowed down the bases were cleared as I watch that ball. I touch the first then second, and I rounded third and headed home . As I step on home my team exploded every one hugging we won and for a moment in time a square peg fit in that round hole
