Corn Bread

My in-laws had a heated conversation on yellow corn bread over white cornbread. The bottom line is it comes down to taste, but this recipe works for both.
Ingredients:
– 1 cup of flour
– 1 cup of yellow cornmeal
– 1/4 cup of sugar
– 1 tablespoon of baking powder
– 1/2 teaspoon of salt
– 1 cup of milk
– 2 eggs
– 1/4 cup of melted butter
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
. Grease a cast-iron skillet or a 9×9-inch baking dish with butter or cooking spray.
3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, cornmeal, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, and melted butter.
5. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
6. Pour the batter into the prepared skillet or baking dish.
7. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
8. Serve hot and enjoy!
